It's designed as anAPI-only solution, which means it allows developers to integrate the robust file and document management capabilities of Microsoft 365 into any application. This makes it particularly suitable for enterprises building line-of-business applications and independent software vendors (ISVs) creating multi-tenant applications. With SharePoint Embedded, developers can create “File Storage Containers” within a Microsoft 365 tenant, which act likeAPI-only Document Libraries. These containers are secure and isolated, ensuring that files and documents are accessible only through the app that created them. Additionally, SharePoint Embedded leverages Microsoft Graph APIs to provide advanced features such as real-time co-authoring with Office, compliance tools from Microsoft Purview, and generative AI capabilities from Microsoft 365 Copilot.
